With the increasing attention paid by the fashion industry to sustainable development and environmental awareness, the integration of fashion concepts with eco-friendly materials has become a trend. On February 17th, SHI-KWAN joined the FASHION SCOUT runway event at London Fashion Week with its latest research and innovative designs.
During this fashion week, SHI-KWAN collaborated with the fashion brand LADECENTE and the knitwear designer XIAOYU ZHU from the Royal College of Art. The designers drew inspiration from the ancient Chinese rainwear of the Pre-Qin period, known as the suoyi, and employed dynamic installations combined with SHI-KWAN's ocean-recycled yarn to inject a cyberpunk aesthetic into each piece. The combination of modeling and three-dimensional material printing technology created an engaging visual narrative.
The pieces presented at this collaboration runway event were all made using SHI-KWAN yarn. In accordance with the designers' needs and the concept of environmental sustainability, ocean-recycled materials were specifically chosen. This not only promotes the protection of marine ecosystems but also demonstrates our commitment to environmental protection to the global fashion industry.
